Finance Professional

The Vicinage Finance Division is seeking a finance professional with strong analytical, customer service and administrative skills to perform accounting, financial and administrative functions. The successful candidate will exhibit technical competence, PC skills, reasoning ability and strong self-management, interpersonal and communication skills.

Example of duties include developing, preparing, reconciling and submitting financial reports; interpreting accounting, financial or statistical data; compiling statistical data on workload volume, unit expenditures, personnel actions, fixed assets, equipment or attendance; coordinating the collection, maintenance and tabulation of accounting, financial or statistical data; performing variance analysis and determining the course of action to correct mis-posts, financial errors, and discrepancies; preparing spending projections; developing operating budgets; establishing accounting encumbrances; processing vendor payments and employee reimbursements; developing and preparing MS Excel financial analysis / reports; reviewing court financial transactions for compliance with laws, regulations, court rules and / or administrative directives; being knowledgeable of and advising management and employees on deadlines, rules, regulations and other finance related information; establishing workflow systems or procedures; recommending improvements in operating procedures, work processes or administrative practices; assisting team members with work in progress; and performing other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, statistics, mathematics, data analytics and / or financial related courses. Six of these credit hours must be in accounting. Substitution is available for those who do not possess the required education but do possess the required coursework. An unofficial transcript is required in order to apply. Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service.
