Assist Construction Practice Leader, Senior Professional Engineers and Project Managers to organize, manage, coordinate and complete construction phases of projects with limited inputAssist and lead business development opportunities by meeting with clients and developing proposal responsesAssist with monitoring safety of construction group personnel, quality of performance and ensure activities meet industry standardsAssist in developing strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize operations within budgets and timelinesImplement, manage and evaluate operational processes and procedures consistent with the organizationWhat you will be doing
Planning
Assist in formulating the Construction Practice direction and supporting strategic initiativesParticipate in the Construction Practice Business PlansParticipate in Leadership TrainingAssist with management of capital requests and the group's annual budgetsAssist Construction Leader, Professional Engineer / Project Manager in project scoping, task hour budgets, schedules, and fee proposalsDevelop performance measures that support the Construction Practice's and company's strategic directionDevelop professional relationships with potential clients and maintain SEH's database for project opportunitiesMeet with clients to understand goals, needs, and concerns and communicate this to the Construction Leader and other stakeholders as appropriateIdentify and assist with sales opportunities through industry research, client calls, site visits and trade showsGain knowledge of owners, developers, and other decision makers in target marketsOperations
Involved in field activities under normal to complex construction conditionsManage projects with documentation for Federal, State and Local funding sourcesCoordinate SEH work tasks over multiple projects and territoriesEnsure on-site representation completes tasks required for the project (RPR, documentation, material testing, survey coordination, etc.)Supervise and mentor other construction personnelTravel to project locations for staff quality audits and check-insMonitor current events, business trends and competitors to inform decisionsImplement safety and operational best practicesProvide reporting to the Construction Leader as neededAssist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for the practiceAssist in monitoring and mitigating risk management issuesRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceLicensed Professional Engineer in the state of ColoradoAbility to read, analyze and interpret plans, specifications, journals, procedures, contracts or regulationsAbility to write reports and document project activitiesStrong ability to influence others to support growth initiatives and resourcesStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information professionally to all levelsExperience identifying and pursuing business development opportunitiesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with prioritization and schedulingProficient in Microsoft Office and project scheduling softwareAbility to learn construction administration software (AASHTOWare, One Office, Bluebeam, PMWeb)Ensure compliance with SEH's Quality and Safety standardsPreferred Qualifications
Ten (10)+ years of construction industry experience in techniques, estimating, scheduling, and construction administrationAbility to travel long distances as neededThis position requires an MVR records check confirming a valid driver's license and driving record per SEH's Driving Program.

Compensation and Benefits
Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $94,000 to $130,000 , based on skill set and experience. See the full benefits package at SEH Hiring Journey.
The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
