Job Summary : \n\n
The Cardiology and Electrophysiology teams at WMCHealth are looking for a motivated and patient-centered APP (Advanced Practice Provider), Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), to join their team at our northern regional hospital campuses of WMCHealth a leading academic medical center and health network in the NY metro area. In this outpatient focused role, the ideal APP will have a passion for cardiology, cardiac device management, and cardiac electrophysiology while providing exceptional evidence-based care.

Responsibilities : \n\n \n\t
- Assess and manage cardiac arrhythmia patients
\n\t
Conduct pre-admission testing for cardiac EP procedures\n\t
Interrogate cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIED)\n\t
Provide and oversee remote monitoring for CIEDs\n\t
Provide comprehensive patient care in collaboration with attending physicians inclusive of initial evaluations, follow-ups visits, treatment monitoring, and longitudinal care planning\n\t
Conduct thorough history and physical examinations, interpret diagnostic results, and formulate evidence-based care plans for patients with a wide of cardiac arrhythmias\n\t
Educate patients and their family members on diagnoses, treatment options, potential side effects, and symptom management strategies while focusing on treating each patient as a whole and individual person\n \n\n
Shift / Status : \n\n
4 days a week, 10-hour shifts = 40 hours a week

Spend meaningful time with patients and families while building a trusting clinician and patient relationship that is focused on compassionate and individualized care\n\t
Collaborate closely with physicians, APPs, nurses and other team members to deliver coordinated, multidisciplinary care\n\t

Qualifications / Requirements :
\n\n \n\t
Board certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who possesses, or is eligible to obtain, an applicable NYS license, and has an active DEA\n\t
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of cardiac electrophysiology or cardiology experience as a practicing clinical PA or NP, although highly motivated new graduates will also be considered and are encouraged to apply.\n\t
Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.\n\t
Candidates with active ACLS and BLS certification\n \n\n
