Position Summary :
Under direct supervision, performs duties to receive, retrieve, transfer and store parts and materials for manufacturing operations : reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Maintains accurate inventory. May be assigned to a particular work center or various work centers.
Essential Functions of the Job :
Follows all company and departmental safety rules including proper use of personal protective equipmentMaintains housekeeping in assigned areasFills requisitions, work orders, requests for materials, sales orders, tools or other stock items and deliver items to production areasAssembles orders from stock and places on pallets or in baskets, moves orders to packing station, shipping department or trailersPlaces received material and excess inventory in storage locationsMarks materials with identifying informationAccurately records locations and amounts of materials or items received, transferred or distributedMoves materials as required using lift truck or other meansUses computer and hand held scanner to access information, record transactions and verify dataPerforms other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) :
Must be certified to operate required material handling equipmentMust be able to learn how to read blueprints and use measuring instrumentsShould have general knowledge of RhinoAg products and partsBasic math skills and computer data entry skills essentialGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenEducation and Experience :
High school diploma or GED certificate preferred or work experience in a related occupationSix months of experience in material handling preferredWorking Conditions :
