Demonstrated success in driving process improvement initiatives. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Willingness to spend time on the shop floor to understand processes firsthand. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Google Suite experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Self-driven, organized, and eager to learn the business.
Overview
A great UHY client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have process improvement experience, a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, and the drive to grow within the business. A positive attitude and willingness to spend time on the shop floor are essential.
The Manufacturing Engineer role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.
Manufacturing Engineer Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Work closely with production and operations teams to analyze workflow, material flow, and quality data.
- Support continuous improvement efforts through data analysis, observation, and hands-on engagement.
- Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Provide technical support to shop floor personnel, including troubleshooting process or equipment issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new products, equipment, or processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend actions for improvement.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Support capital project planning, equipment upgrades, and layout changes.
- Maintain documentation for processes, improvements, and training as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
