Construction Superintendent, up to $70,000 / yr, Auburn Hills
Join a dynamic team at a leading local company that values your skills and invests in your growth! We are seeking a dynamic Residential Construction Superintendent. If you're good at managing subcontractors, managing skilled workers, and maintaining safety and compliance at a construction site, then you might be perfect as our next Residential Construction Superintendent.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain a daily record of project progress and home repair updates for the project manager and the homeowner
- Require complete adherence to health and safety regulations on construction sites to avoid accidents and delays, and report any problems to the project manager as soon as possible
- Ensure that each construction project produces a high-quality finished product, manage construction workers, conduct routine on-site inspections, and provide guidance as needed
- Address the project's costs with clients to ensure that it remains within budget
- Analyze subcontractor productivity toward timelines and performance goals to ensure that the project is on schedule to be finished on budget and to the highest possible quality
- Under the direction of the Project Manager, you will oversee and manage onsite activities of the project in a systematic manner to determine that projects are executed on time, safely, on budget, and of the highest quality
- Review daily / weekly requirements of the projects, document progress, and notify project managers
- Order materials and arrange for delivery
- Manage labor and material at the site and coordinate all necessary inspections and compliance events
- Oversee daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction progress, and quality control
Qualifications :
Physically capable of using heavy equipment and lifting at least 40 poundsCurrent general contractor licenseBasic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principlesSuperb organizational, leadership, time-management, and communication skillsMinimum 18 months of experience in construction, restoration, or renovations; 3 plus years preferredCapable of reading and understanding blueprints, specifications, and reportsAbility to participate in a rotational after-hours on-call scheduleExperience with Xactimate is a huge plusReady to take the next step?
