Job Summary :

A well-regarded healthcare organization in Southern California is seeking an Infection Prevention Specialist to support and enhance its infection control initiatives. This role involves analyzing infection data, supporting surveillance and investigation activities, and contributing to the design and implementation of infection prevention education and procedures.

Key Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infection control programs.
• Provide education and guidance to staff on infection control procedures and new clinical equipment.
• Assist in the design and implementation of surveillance strategies for monitoring infections, outbreaks, and exposure events.
• Analyze data to identify trends and improvement opportunities in infection prevention practices.
• Monitor changes to local, state, and federal infection control regulations.
• Maintain infection control dashboards and generate routine reports.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality committees.
• Conduct site assessments related to infection prevention standards and practices.

Qualifications :

Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, or Microbiology with 2+ years of healthcare experience (including 1+ year in a relevant clinical area) -OR-
