Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience and a valid SD PT license for a post-acute setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a post-acute care environment with coverage across outpatient, inpatient swing bed, assisted living, and long-term care / skilled nursing settings
  • Treat 6 to 8 patients per day, caseload dependent on department needs
  • Patient population includes post-surgical, orthopedic (total joints, ORIF), neurologic (stroke, Parkinson's, MS), sports medicine, and complex medical cases
  • May be required to float between settings within the same day
  • Team supported by 3 PTs, 1 PTA, 1 COTA, 1 OT, and 1 SLP
  • Uses Epic for documentation; experience with Epic is preferred
  • Schedule consists of five 8-hour day shifts per week, with flexible start times between 0700-0900
  • Occasional weekend shifts may be required
  • Expect to achieve a full patient load and productivity expectations by the second week of orientation
  • Departmental orientation is led by the Director of Rehab and typically lasts one week
  • Dress code allows any color scrubs or business casual attire
  • No holiday coverage required
  • 30-mile radius rule applies for eligibility

  • Current SD PT license required; license required if applicable
  • Minimum 2 years of recent physical therapy experience, excluding clinical rotations
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Experience in LTC / skilled nursing settings preferred
  • Experience with long-term recovery therapy preferred
