What Your Job Will Be Like

Radar ISR Analysis & Apps, Department 05344, is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Technologist to join our motivated team who innovate technical solutions to address urgent challenges to our national security! As a successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to realize complex systems and deliver differentiating new capabilities to meet emerging national security challenges, all the while advancing the state of the art.

On any given day, you may be called on to perform system manufacturing of complex electromechanical assemblies requiring proper ESD mitigation techniques for delivery to internal Sandia customers as well as external contract customers. This includes the following efforts.

About Our Team

Sandia National Laboratories offers state-of-the-art capability in the design and development of Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Systems, from system design through system integration to data collection and analysis. As a multidisciplinary laboratory, Sandia applies world-class expertise, such as high-performance computer processing, semiconductor device physics, mechanical stress analysis, flight dynamics, motion measurement, etc., to difficult problems.

Department 5344 is SAR ISR Analysis & Apps department, works within Sandias RF Remote Sensing Business area to develop and field high-performance synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems. Our department specializes in technical pursuits including system design and development, project management, field- and flight-test, and applications engineering (connecting needs to data).

Posting Duration

Security Clearance

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment / education verifications.
