Assistant or Associate Professor, Music Job at Music Jobs US in San Diego

We invite applicants for the position of Assistant (tenure-track) or Associate Professor of Choral Studies to begin in the fall of 2026. This is a full-time appointment.

The successful candidate will be the director of the choral area, responsible for coordinating our select vocal program (the Choral Scholars), directing the Concert Choir, and providing leadership for the voice area.

Candidates should hold a DMA in Choral Conducting, PhD in Music Education, or a terminal degree in a closely related field. ABD candidates will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. Candidates should also have college teaching experience, with other relevant teaching / conducting experience also considered.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Directing the choral area and coordinating the select vocal program (the Choral Scholars)

Salary range : $7,000 - $7,750 / month

Full-time position in San Diego, CA, starting in the fall of 2026.
