Location : Farmington Hills, MI
Compensation : $30–$38 / hour (depending on experience)

Position Overview
The Machine Builder will be responsible for the assembly, alignment, troubleshooting, and start-up of precision manufacturing machinery and components. This hands-on role requires technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail to ensure every machine meets the company’s world-class standards before customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, fit, and align complex mechanical components and subassemblies based on engineering drawings and blueprints.
Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assembly for custom machine builds.
Conduct system start-up, alignment, and tryout to ensure machine performance meets specifications.
Collaborate with electrical technicians and engineers during machine debug and integration.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or assembly issues during build and testing phases.
Use precision measuring instruments (indicators, micrometers, calipers) to verify tolerances.
Support installation and commissioning at customer sites (occasional travel).
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with company policies and ISO standards.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in machine assembly, mechanical build, or equipment integration .
Strong blueprint reading and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and machine shop equipment (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.).
Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
Experience in automotive, automation, or machine tool industries preferred.
High school diploma or technical certificate required; apprenticeship or associate degree a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
