DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a County Social Services Aide 1, you will provide support to agency caseworkers to ensure that families are supported and regulations are met. Responsibilities will include assisting with supervising visitation for families, providing transportation to clients for appointments and court hearings and maintaining case files. You will have the opportunity to develop rapport and provide direction to families when supervising visitation. Your experience with family interactions can be both challenging and rewarding.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :

  • Graduation from high school; or
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

    • Legal Requirements :

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.

    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
