We are looking for a creative individual with photography and video skills to develop digital marketing content and document all the wonderful things that happen at Tulsa City-County Library.

The Tulsa City-County Library Multimedia Specialist captures and edits original video, audio, and photography from library events. Uses technical and creative skills to develop multimedia content for a variety of platforms including short form video and high-end commercial production. Works with the marketing and communications team on special video and photography projects to market the library’s services and materials to target audiences.

A selection of job qualifications and job functions for this position are as follows :

• Capture original video, audio, and photography from library events; work with Director to develop a monthly schedule to ensure all relevant events are covered.
• Edit original video, audio, and photography to enhance the colors, contrast, sound quality, and aesthetic.
• Develop and translate multimedia content to a variety of platforms, including social media, website, presentation, short form video, and high-end television use.
• Stay up-to-date on design trends, advancements in media techniques, software, and equipment.
• Create multimedia content for target audiences internally or externally with a focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Intermediate or above skill in using relevant computer software and hardware, including Creative Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in arts, multimedia design, technology, or related field required.
• Two or more years of experience preparing content for multimedia platforms required.
• Three or more years of experience capturing original video and photography required (e.g., YouTube tutorials or vlogs).
• Experience using drones for photography and video preferred.
• Animation and design experience preferred.

Location : Central Library - 400 Civic Center Tulsa, OK. 74103

Salary : Starting hourly wage - $20.00 - $25.00 / hr.

Status : Full-time - 40 hrs. / week

Schedule : Flexible Schedule Monday - Friday with occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate Library events required.
