Quad in Valdosta, GA,  is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for the electrical upkeep, installation, and troubleshooting of plant machinery and facility systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a proactive attitude toward safety, and hands-on experience with PLCs and high-voltage systems.   Starting wage is $34.85 / hr.

Key Responsibilities Electrical Maintenance & Installation

\n \n

  • Perform electrical repairs, fabrication, and installation of machines and plant facilities

\n

  • Maintain, service, and troubleshoot electrical components associated with production and facility equipment

    • \n

  • Execute complex electrical tasks, including work on 480-volt systems

    • \n

  • Read and interpret electrical ladder diagrams, electronic circuitry diagrams, and software programs to modify or improve equipment functionality

    • \n

  • Plan and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures per job specifications, including conduit routing

    • \n \n

    Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Oversight

    \n \n

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for plant machinery

    • \n

  • Conduct safety inspections on dryers and other critical systems

    • \n

  • Secure all equipment and complete required documentation at the end of each shift

    • \n

  • Demonstrate proficiency in repairing a wide variety of equipment

    • \n \n

    Facility Systems Management

    \n \n

  • Maintain and troubleshoot plant lighting, air conditioning, boilers, internal fuse systems, and energy management systems

    • \n \n

    Safety & Compliance

    \n \n

  • Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment

    • \n

  • Support and promote corporate and departmental safety goals and initiatives

    • \n \n

    Qualifications

    \n \n

  • Minimum of 3 years of Industrial Electrician experience required

    • \n

  • Master / Journeyman license strongly preferred but not required

    • \n

  • Experience with PLCs (Siemens preferred)

    • \n

  • Proficient in electrical diagnostics, including : \n \n

    • AC / DC drive circuitry

    \n

  • Motors and transformers

    • \n

  • Control systems and power distribution

    • \n

    \n

  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, electrical / electronic test equipment, and calibration equipment

    • \n

  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install or repair electrical systems

    • \n

  • Strong computer skills, including the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

    • \n

  • Ability to order parts and materials using the company's purchasing systems

    • \n

  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and ability to apply cost-effective solutions that meet code and customer requirements

    • \n

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet tight deadlines

    • \n

  • Flexible to work any shift and overtime as needed

    • \n

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, and peers

    • \n \n

    Required Tools

    \n

    Candidates must supply and maintain a personal tool kit that includes the following :

    \n \n

  • Wire working pliers (Klein’s, Cutting Pliers, Wire Strippers, Needle Nose Pliers)

    • \n

  • 2 pairs of Channel Locks

    • \n

  • Flat blade and Phillips head screwdrivers

    • \n

  • Nut drivers

    • \n

  • Voltage tester

    • \n

  • High-quality voltmeter (e.g., Fluke)

    • \n

  • Clamp-on amp meter

    • \n

  • End wrenches

    • \n

  • Socket set

    • \n

  • Allen wrenches

    • \n

  • Personal toolbox

    • \n \n

    Work Schedule

    \n \n

  • 7 : 30 AM - 4 PM, Monday through Friday

    • \n

  • On-Call hours may be required, including evenings and weekends as needed for emergencies.
