Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline : RN Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, rotating Employment Type : Travel General Medical Surgical Unit Overview Unit Description : This is a unique Med-Surg unit that specializes in caring for patients with both medical and behavioral health needs. Experience in behavioral health is preferred. Staff will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to support a diverse patient population exhibiting a wide range of medical and behavioral conditions. The unit also accepts Med-Surg overflow and may experience frequent patient movement based on hospital needs. Job Duties & Procedures Manage patients with complex medical and behavioral health conditions Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care Support overflow from other Med-Surg units Adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment Equipment & Charting EMR System : EPIC Required Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years of experience Strong communication and time management skills Compassionate, adaptable, and flexible Detail-oriented with patience and empathy Understanding of medical and behavioral health integration Ability to manage symptoms and promote positive outcomes Licensure & Certifications BLS (must be AHA certified) Active North Dakota RN license Scheduling & Shifts 12-hour shifts Typically every other weekend and holiday required No call required Staff will not work alone Floating Requirements May float to other Med-Surg areas as needed Nurse-to-Patient Ratio 1 : 5 RN-to-patient ratio Dress Code Solid navy scrubs 1097910610 About PRN Healthcare Our story starts with a 21-year-old CNA named Pete Hietpas.
