Job Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Records Specialist to join our healthcare records team. This position is responsible for processing all ROI requests efficiently and accurately while safeguarding patient privacy and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Retrieve and return patient medical charts; scan records according to established procedures and quality standards
• Validate requests and authorizations for medical record release based on legal and company guidelines
• Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and correct billing
• Handle incoming ROI requests via mail, phone, fax, email, or online submission tools
• Maintain equipment and work area in excellent condition
• Deliver exceptional customer service by being attentive, respectful, and responsive to client needs
• Stay current on applicable state laws and fee structures
• Order paper records from storage vendors, scan upon arrival, and ensure timely return
• Comply with HIPAA, state and federal regulations, and client / site policies

Pay : $20 / hr

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00 / hr.
