The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the inventory in a Long-Term Care Pharmacy setting. Inventory Specialists must have an understanding on how to use procedural methods to investigate inventory inaccuracy which causes backorders and out of stock medication. The goal is to have an adequate and accurate inventory while reducing expired products.
- Must have MA Registered Pharmacy Technician license
Location : On site at our closed-door Southborough MA, pharmacy (155 Northboro Road, Southborough, MA)
Salary : Starting at $20 an hour (dependent upon experience and license type)
Schedule : Monday – Friday 8 : 00 am – 4 : 30 pm (every other Saturday)

Assist with maintaining the targeted par levels in all areas of the pharmacy including, but not limited to, medications, packaging supplies, cleaning supplies, stationary / office supplies, shipping supplies, etc.Ensure all medications, including refrigerated / frozen items, are stored under appropriate conditions and any deviation from appropriate storage is immediately escalated to a pharmacist.Manage the ordering process to ensure availability of all products.Coordinate alternate sources of products when backordered from designated wholesaler or other suppliers.Receive all orders from wholesaler / suppliers and ensure orders have been appropriately checked in and placed into stock timely.Assist with the back-order process and ensure timely resolution which may include escalation to a pharmacist.Perform audit counts and assist with inventories.Ensure that there are no outdated / damaged or unusable products in active inventory and that these products are segregated from active inventory and clearly labeled not to be used.Assist with product returns to vendors / reverse distributors.Assist with drug recall process including, but not limited to, documentation, segregation and ultimate disposition of recalled products.Review and management of inventory to ensure that only inventory that is active in Framework is in the active medication inventory in the pharmacy.Work with Inventory Supervisor / PIC on brand-to-generic conversions, NDC flips and other inventory conversions.Ensure coordination with operations to address any needed inventory adjustments in anticipation of business changes.Comply with established purchasing process and ensure appropriate vendors are used.Ensure compliance with drug pedigree process.Compliance Responsibilities

High school diploma or equivalent; advanced certifications in pharmacy operations preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy or fulfillment environmentMust have MA Registered Pharmacy Technician license (must be in good standing)Basic understanding of Microsoft ExcelFamiliar with wholesale ordering systems / pharmacy dispensing systems (Frameworks, a plus).Purchasing / inventory experienceUtilize reports to identify inventory discrepanciesSkills & Abilities :
