The Hardware Engineer is responsible for design and development of our hardware product initiatives in electric power grid monitoring, visualization, and analysis of electric utility data.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Research new circuit technologies to incorporate into new designs
- Select circuit board components and conduct cost estimates
- Design analog and digital circuits, including simulation, BOM creation, schematic capture, and board layout.
- Write, simulate, and test HDL for FPGA-based designs
- Prototype circuit boards to validate design concepts
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers to bring designs to production
- Test and validate designs, analyzing hardware failures and implementing improvements
- Work closely with software engineers to bring up prototypes and troubleshoot issues
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent fieldExperience in circuit design and development.Skills required include component selection, circuit design, manufacturing, and testing.This role requires a strong understanding of hardware development principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.Must be authorized to work in the USBenefits
