Salary :
Primary Responsibilities : The controls technician is responsible for maintaining and optimizing automation and control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and camera systems, through troubleshooting, programming, preventive maintenance, team collaboration, technical training, and support for upgrades and compliance.

- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, and control systems.
- Program and modify automation systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on automation and control equipment.
- Support system upgrades and process improvements.
- Collaborate with electricians and engineers to resolve technical issues.
- Document work and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Train electricians in control systems, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices.
- Maintain and troubleshoot operational camera systems to ensure functionality.
- Provide additional support to the electrical and maintenance teams, addressing technical challenges as needed.
Job Experience : A willingness to learn and grow is critical for this position.
High school diploma or equivalencyAssociates degree or higher in electrical engineering technology, automation technology, or related field; or minimum of 2 years of equivalent work experienceUnderstanding of electrical circuits and componentsFamiliarity with wiring, panel building, and electric schematicsProficiency in PLCs and HMIsExperience with automation systems, robotics, and control loopsAbility to diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and controls systems issuesOutstanding safety and attendance recordsPossess excellent planning and organizational skillsUnderstanding all lockout procedures and how to utilize a safety data sheet (SDS)Behavioral Skills : Behavioral skills are critical for determining success in a career.
