Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Facilities Supervisor to support our semiconductor manufacturing operations by ensuring reliable and safe operation of all facility systems across a multi-building, campus-style environment. This role is critical in maintaining uptime for manufacturing, overseeing cleanroom-supporting utilities, and leading a team of technicians and contractors.
The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with deep technical knowledge of complex facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process support infrastructure specific to semiconductor environments.
Leadership & People Management :
- Lead a team of 12-15 facilities technicians and specialists, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
- Ensure the team is trained and aligned with the operational requirements of a 24 / 7 semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Manage staffing schedules and priorities to maintain uninterrupted facility and process utility support.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Facilities Operations & Technical Oversight :
Supervise daily operations and preventive maintenance for all site utilities supporting cleanroom manufacturing.Ensure uptime and compliance of critical building systems including :HVAC systems supporting cleanroom pressurization and temperature / humidity controlChillers, Boilers, Pumps, and Cooling TowersAir Compressors and Vacuum SystemsDI / RO Water and Process Water Cooling SystemsChemical Treatment and Wastewater Neutralization SystemsElectrical Distribution including backup generators and UPS systemsSteam Systems, Plumbing, and Roof MaintenanceMonitor system performance and manage troubleshooting efforts for rapid resolution of issues that may impact manufacturing.Building Management Systems (BMS) & AutomationOperate and manage enterprise-level Building Automation Systems :
Automated Logic Controls (ALC)Cimplicity Or equivalent large-scale platformsUse BAS tools to trend data, optimize system efficiency, and detect faults proactively.Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support facility-related project needs and process improvements.Communication, Reporting, & Compliance :
Communicate effectively across departments, from technicians to executive leadership, to ensure alignment and transparency.Generate and present facility status reports, trend analysis, and operational updates using :Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TeamsTrack work orders, PM schedules, and corrective actions using CMMS or similar platforms.Ensure all activities comply with environmental regulations, EHS standards, and industry codes (NFPA, NEC, etc.).Qualifications
Required :
58 years of facilities management experience in a semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or cleanroom-intensive environment.2+ years of team leadership experience.Advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, and process utility systems supporting semiconductor operations.Experience with critical systems including chillers, boilers, compressors, vacuum systems, chemical distribution, electrical distribution, and process cooling.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite : Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.Preferred :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, Business Management, Project Management, or related field.Experience with IFM providers and associated processes KPI's and SLA;s.Experience with Building Automation Systems (e.g., ALC, Cimplicity, or similar).Familiarity with cleanroom environmental controls and FM standards for microelectronics manufacturing.Knowledge of facilities risk management and emergency response protocols.Trade licenses or technical certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, CFM, or PMP) are a plusThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or hazardous chemicals; extreme outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is often high.
The position requires :
On-Site only with occasional off-hours support for critical infrastructure and emergency response.Must be able to access cleanroom-support spaces, utility chases, rooftops, and mechanical rooms.May require occasional lifting, ladder use, or PPE depending on area access.Capable of respirator certification.Capable of SCBA and confined space authorized entrant, attendant, entry supervisor, and rescue service.
