Licensed Vocational Nurse

Job Summary Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of professional level nursing duties. Assists the RN Transfer Coordinator with a variety of tasks including arranging outbound patient transfers and setting up ambulance transportation. Responsible for assigning new patients to the Hospitalist Service, maintaining an accurate and current Hospitalist rotation schedule, and communicating with physicians and other departments regarding new patient admissions Education Education Type Program of Study Required / Preferred High School Diploma or G.E.D. High School Required Accredited Program Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Required Experience Number of Years Type of Experience Required / Preferred ≥2 Nursing Preferred Certification & Licensures Certification / Licensure Type Required / Preferred Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), with Authorization to Practice in the State of Texas Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
