Position Summary
We are seeking a talented BIM Modeler to join our VDC Engineering team, supporting the development of high-performance MEP design and coordination for data centers and large-scale commercial projects. This role involves creating and maintaining detailed Revit models (LOD 250 and above), ensuring accuracy, constructability, and alignment with company BIM standards.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Revit modeling, a clear understanding of construction drawings and building systems, and strong collaboration skills to work closely with VDC team members, project engineers, and general contractors.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop accurate and detailed 3D models in Revit for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring proper routing, clearances, and constructability.
Apply company BIM and VDC standards to ensure consistent modeling practices, proper file organization, and model quality control.
Create sheets, views, and details to support design documentation, shop drawings, coordination packages, and field installation.
Support clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks or similar software, working closely with other disciplines to resolve issues before construction.
Collaborate with project engineers, VDC team members, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
Participate in coordination meetings and model reviews, incorporating feedback and design changes efficiently.
Maintain model integrity through version control, updates, and accurate as-built documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist with model-based quantity takeoffs and support preconstruction and fabrication efforts when required.
Qualifications :
Minimum 2+ years of Revit experience with a focus on MEP or architectural modeling.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building systems.
Experience working with LOD 250 and higher models, including the ability to build and manage complex model elements.
Familiarity with clash detection, coordination workflows, and Navisworks.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural drawings to model accurately.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred : Experience working on data center, commercial, or industrial projects.
Preferred : Knowledge of fabrication-level modeling, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or other related software tools.
