About The Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a Locum Tenens assignment at our outpatient facility in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule, no call responsibilities, and the support of a dedicated procedural team.

Position Highlights :

Location : Altru Professional Center – Grand Forks, ND

Setting : 100% Outpatient Gastroenterology

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM

Includes 30-minute lunch and time allocated for charting

Start Date : Upon completion of credentialing (~45 days from submission of paperwork)

Call : None

Procedures & Case Volume :

Daily Procedures : 14–16 per day

Primary Procedures : Colonoscopy

EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)

Additional Procedures :

Upper GI Endoscopy with biopsy

Foreign body removal

Fulguration of bleeder (cautery or laser)

Injection of varices

Esophageal dilation / manometry

Small bowel biopsy

Sigmoidoscopy (flexible)

Colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy

Support & Environment :

Dedicated CRNA, RN, and tech in each procedure room

No midlevel (APP) support in the outpatient setting

Collaborative atmosphere with other attending physicians typically on site

Job Requirements

Requirements :

Board Certification in Gastroenterology

Active or eligible for North Dakota medical licensure

Comfortable performing the full scope of outpatient GI procedures
