Registered Nurses provide direct patient care in a telemetry unit.

The unit focuses on monitoring patients with potential cardiac issues.

The typical patient ratio for night shifts is 1 nurse to 6 patients, with a stretch to 7.

Nurses will work alongside a team that includes charge nurses and patient care technicians.

Telemetry monitoring, Foley catheter insertion, and IV starts are common procedures.

Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude and work well in a fast-paced team environment.

Continuing education and certification in Med-Surge are preferred.
