Job Summary

Construction Manager in the Remote Construction Division of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic. 100% TDY to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa for up to 1 year. Temporary promotion or reassignment possible.

Major Duties

  • Review project management data (cost, schedule, risks, quality assurance) to determine progress or shortfalls against project objectives.
  • Evaluate programs for quality assurance and quality management to ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and best practices.
  • Identify and evaluate solutions to issues and problems.
  • Discuss the development of operational requirements with managers.
  • Prepare written reports to provide status updates.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, candidates must provide sufficient experience and / or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Applicants must meet all eligibility, qualifications, and time-in-grade requirements. The following competencies will be evaluated :

    • Required Documents

  • Complete resume with relevant experience, job title, duties, and accomplishments.
  • Assessment questionnaire (complete).
  • Supporting documentation that supports eligibility and qualification claims. Examples include SF-50 for time-in-grade, DD-214 for veterans' preference, disability letter for 10-point preference, performance appraisal for ICTAP.
