MBS is hiring a Millwright Maintenance Tech in Fairfield, OH. This position is full-time, direct hire opportunity.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the installation, trouble shooting, modification, repair, testing, configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical plant manufacturing equipment.
- Understand CMMS programs to conduct preventative maintenance inspections and related repairs on plant equipment as directed.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect potential failures and eliminate unplanned downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electromechanical production equipment.
- Understand, observe, and comply with company’s health and safety rules & regulations, lockout procedures and OSHA guidelines.
- Complete daily maintenance work orders in an efficient and timely manner.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) -relevant measures to promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workspace.
- Ensure full adherence to the “Leader Standard Work” profile.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- As required, provide training to new and / or junior employees with a focus on performing work in a safe, efficient, quality minded manner.
- Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in work area using the 5S principles.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to detect technical malfunctions, root cause and apply sound solutions for repair.Ability to disassemble & reassemble mechanical components.Knowledge of and ability to use machine shop tools and equipment.Ability to perform routine welding and machining.Competent skills in electrical / electronics.Familiarity of PLC, HMI, drives and schematic reading would be an asset.Effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings, blueprints, and sketches.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Basic computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office applications.Basic understanding of CMMS programs.Standing for sustained periods of time.Making substantial movements / motions of the wrists, hands, and / or fingers.Frequently lifting and / or moving spools weighing up to 50 lbs.Occasionally required to sit; climb and stoop, kneel or crouch.Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required.Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Certificate of Qualification preferred.Welding Certificate or completion of training preferred.ABOUT THE KABLE GROUP
