About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. Starting on Oct 13, 2025, this autonomous role features a rotating schedule with 12-hour weekday shifts and 8-hour weekend shifts. The assignment involves working alongside a medical assistant and front desk staff, seeing 40+ patients per shift in a dynamic urgent care setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
Work autonomously to assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to urgent careManage a high patient volume, seeing 40+ patients per shiftCollaborate with a medical assistant and front desk staff to ensure efficient patient flowPerform required procedures and interventions within scope of practiceDocument all patient encounters using Epic EMRMaintain compliance with all clinical protocols and standardsAdditional Information
Must have at least 1 year of urgent care or emergency room experienceNew graduates will not be consideredMust be DOT certified or able to obtain certification independentlyBasic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications requiredValid North Carolina PA license requiredAbility to work autonomously is essentialBenefits
