About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift : 3rd shift, 12-hour nights, every other weekend, float as needed

Hours per Shift : 36.00

Experience : Minimum years of experience required

License : Current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)

Certifications :

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent
• AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an AHA approved equivalent is required

Must-Have : Significant experience in a high acuity cardiac step down unit, Level 1 trauma hospital experience is a plus

Description :

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment.

This individual demonstrates competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population.

The role incorporates essential functions adapted from the Nursing : Scope and Standards of Practice.

Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice is required.

This knowledge is normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment are essential.

An Associate's degree in nursing is required.

A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

The role requires current state licensure and appropriate certifications.

This position involves working in a high acuity environment with a focus on cardiac care.

Candidates should be prepared to float as needed within the organization.
