About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Zero (0) - six (6) months of related experience

License : Valid multi-state or state Registered Nurse License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have : Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience

Description :

The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.

Utilizing the nursing process is essential in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies / procedures.

The role is focused on monitoring and evaluating patient functional status.

The nurse will complete assessments and individualize plans of care within established guidelines.

They are responsible for carrying out nursing care considering cultural and psychosocial factors and ages of individual patients.

Organizing, prioritizing, and performing nursing skills appropriate for the patient population is crucial.

Anticipating patient / unit needs is a key responsibility.

Demonstrating a sound knowledge base in bio-psychosocial aspects is expected.

The nurse must delegate and communicate effectively and appropriately.

Professional judgment should be demonstrated in response to changing patient and unit situations.

Accurate documentation of the nursing process and care on appropriate records is required.

Data must be recorded concisely, consistently, accurately, and legibly.

The use of correct medical terminology abbreviations is necessary.

Addressing problems and progress toward outcomes according to unit / nursing policy is needed.

Facilitating patient teaching at discharge is part of the role.

Timely, appropriate referrals must be made as necessary.

Utilizing resources in planning and presenting patient education, while considering patient age and cultural / psychosocial factors is important.

Collaboration with other disciplines as appropriate is expected.

Supporting unit and hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities is required.

Attendance at mandatory in-services and meeting unit education standards is essential.

Variance reports must be completed accurately.

Independent judgment in planning the sequence of operations and making minor decisions is part of the decision-making process.

The nurse works directly with patients and / or customers.

Maintaining working relationships with internal and external customers is important.

Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and staff is essential.
