Certifications : BLS required, CST preferred

Must-Have :

Must have experience in General OR, Teaching Hospital, and Trauma.

Must have skills in Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) procedures.

Must have endoscopic procedure experience.

Must have general surgery experience.

Must have gynecology case skills.

Must have neurosurgery case skills.

Must have oral case skills.

Must have orthopedic case skills.

Must have plastic surgery case skills.

Must have trauma case skills.

Must have urology skills.

Must have emergency management skills.

Must have experience with required equipment, instrumentation, and supplies.

Must possess professional knowledge and skills in aseptic techniques, isolation precautions, and safety protocols.

Description :

Position requires 16-26 weeks in a surgical tech role.

Average daily census is 50-60 cases per day.

Candidates must be willing to work weekends, approximately once a month with a total of 16 hours of obligation.

On-call may be required as needed for the department.

Floating within scope of practice is expected to meet facility needs.

Candidates should discuss scheduling requests with management.

Candidates must have trauma Level I experience.

Must have experience with various surgical procedures including craniotomy, appendectomy, and hysterectomy among others.

Experience in a teaching hospital setting is preferred.

All time off must be reviewed and approved by management.

Required skills and experience must meet job description criteria.
