Position Overview :   We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Financial Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in financial services law, with a proven track record of advising financial institutions, corporate clients, and individuals on a range of legal matters related to banking, securities, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and other financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide legal counsel on complex financial transactions, including structuring, negotiating, and drafting documents for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and debt / equity financings.
  • Advise clients on compliance with federal and state financial regulations, including SEC, Dodd-Frank, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Represent clients in dispute resolution, including litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations related to financial matters.
  • Stay current with legal and regulatory changes affecting the financial industry and provide proactive guidance to clients.
  • Lead and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, offering strategic legal advice and risk management solutions.
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications :

  • J.D. from an accredited law school, with admission to the bar in Nebraska.
  • 8-10 years of experience in financial services law, preferably with a focus on banking, securities, M&A, or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, including Dodd-Frank, Sarbanes-Oxley, the Bank Holding Company Act, and other applicable laws.
  • Proven experience advising on complex financial transactions and representing clients in high-stakes financial matters.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    • Preferred Skills / Experience :

  • Experience with international financial regulations and cross-border transactions.
  • Background in litigation or dispute resolution in financial services.
  • LLM or other advanced legal certifications in finance or securities law.
