Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active MA RN license and AWHONN certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Obstetrics Delivery unit in a hospital setting
  • Provide care to laboring and postpartum women and their newborns
  • Staffing ratios are 1 : 1 for Labor & Delivery and 1 : 2 for Postpartum
  • 12-hour rotating shifts with a mix of days and nights
  • Assignment is 13 weeks in length
  • Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care following AWHONN perinatal nursing standards
  • Adhere to established nurse-to-patient ratios to ensure safe and quality outcomes
  • Testing or modules such as Tele / ECG and Medication Test may be required based on campus assignment
  • First time travelers are not specified as eligible or ineligible
  • Local candidates may be considered, but a 50-mile radius rule typically applies
  • Scrub or dress code requirements are not specified

  • Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current BLS, ACLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
  • Previous Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
  • Must be separated from all Beth Israel Lahey Health facilities for at least 6 months prior to consideration
  • COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions accepted
