About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to provide locum coverage in the General Surgery department of a Novi, MI hospital. This is an OR-focused role supporting a busy surgical team with strong robotic surgery volume.

Position Details

Location : Novi, MI

Dates : September 29, 2025 – January 2, 2026 (option to remain PRN)

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 a.m.–3 : 30 p.m. (some flexibility)

Hours : 40 per week

Call : None required

Setting : Hospital-based OR; >

20 operating rooms, 3 DaVinci robots

Responsibilities

Bedside first-assist in robotic surgical cases (GYN, urology, general surgery, bariatrics)

Placement of ports and closure of port sites

Occasional assistance in non-robotic cases

Documentation, discharges, and prescriptions as needed

Team & Environment

Surgeons & residents present in all cases

Support from scrub techs and circulating nurses

Large robotic surgery program with >

30 credentialed surgeons

Job Requirements

Board Certification : NCCPA – Required

State License : Active Michigan license – Required

Certifications : BLS & ACLS (AHA) – Required

Experience : 2–3 years with robotic bedside first-assist in GYN, urology, general surgery, and bariatrics – Required

EMR : Cerner (preferred)
