We are looking for a skilled Front End Developer with expertise in React and BigCommerce to join our team on a long-term 6 month at least remote contract basis. This position involves creating and enhancing e-commerce storefronts, collaborating with designers, and integrating APIs to deliver seamless user experiences. If you have additional experience with Ruby or React Native, it will be considered a valuable asset.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement custom front-end features for BigCommerce storefronts using React.
• Collaborate with designers to transform UI / UX concepts into responsive and visually appealing web pages.
• Build and debug integrations with BigCommerce APIs and third-party tools.
• Optimize web performance and ensure adherence to accessibility standards.
• Identify and resolve technical issues in both staging and production environments.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with project stakeholders to ensure deadlines and requirements are met.
• Contribute to the team’s codebase using version control systems like Git or GitHub.
• Apply best practices for state management using libraries such as Redux or Flux.
• Demonstrated experience with JavaScript, including strong knowledge of React.js.
• Hands-on expertise in BigCommerce development, including Stencil framework and API integrations.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Proficiency in state management tools such as Redux or Flux.
• Experience with version control systems like Git / GitHub.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Familiarity with Ruby or Ruby on Rails is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of React Native development is preferred.
