Hiring Data Center Cable Technicians – Microsoft Data Center

Location : West Des Moines, Iowa (All Local)

Job Type : Contract to Hire | Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 6 AM - 4 PM | May work Saturdays

Start Date : Immediately

Currently hiring local structured cable technicians to join our team at the Microsoft Data Center in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Responsibilities :

Install, organize, and maintain structured cabling systems within the data center.

Run, pull, and terminate cables to support network infrastructure.

Work both indoors and outdoors, ensuring proper cable routing and management.

Utilize hand and power tools to complete installations efficiently.

Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams for precise cable placement.

Pay Structure :

$21 - $28 / hour–1-5 years of data center experience (more experience grants a higher starting wage)

Requirements :

Previous structured cabling experience preferred, or general construction experience

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Clean record dating back 7 years and the ability to pass a drug screening.

Comfortable working at heights and in various environments.

Ability to use hand and power tools and learn technical blueprints.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00 / hr.
