We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Construction Manager to join our team at K&A Engineering in Elmira, New York. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations :

• Work closely with Construction Managers & Project Team.
• Assist with managing the construction of electric substations, distribution lines, generation upgrades, and other projects in the area.
• Execute work orders and inspections.
• Supervise contractors and make sure projects are being completed correctly.
• Establish and Manage construction materials and review material plans.
• Maintain Safety Awareness and ensure all contractors comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures to assure a safe working environment at the construction site.
• Manage activities related to coordination of field inspection and sign-offs for construction projects.
• Collaborate with management staff to resolve problems and coordinate activities with the Construction Managers and Field Construction Managers.
• Make sure projects and all construction resources are within the allowed scheduled and budget.
• Adhere to company policies, programs, and procedures as well as Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), New England Independent System Operator.
• Training and Guidance will be provided by the Projects Team.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging open communication, reporting unsafe conditions, and suggesting improvements to safety practices.
• Diligently ensure compliance with safety regulations, conducting safety inspections, and identifying potential hazards to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

Pay Range $45—$55 / hour

The salary range for this role considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to technical ability, experience and training, licenses and certifications, and other related skillsets.
