As a Security Guard - Shelter Unarmed Patrol Supervisor in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations to help create a secure environment for all individuals. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will perform routine patrols while remaining highly visible. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, supporting a welcoming atmosphere. Pay Rate : $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime Tue 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM Wed 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM Thur 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM Sat 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Sun 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and residents by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the shelter environment in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a secure atmosphere.
  • Document and report any incidents, suspicious behavior, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
  • Work closely with shelter staff and residents to address concerns and support a positive environment.
  • Follow all protocols established by Allied Universal and site management for handling incidents and emergencies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
