Engineering Project Director
Work Location : St. Louis, Missouri
Your Role :
As an Engineering Project Director within Life Science Engineering & Technology, you are the leader of large and strategic engineering capex projects in the US Region. You manage a matrix of internal and contract team members to safely achieve project objectives within budget and schedule. You manage projects of high complexity and range exceeding 100M / $100M and / or multiple projects exceeding 20M / $20M. You manage other project managers of major workstreams on those very large or complex projects.
The project director has in-depth understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, guidelines, standards, and cGMP's. The project manager has in-depth understanding of design, construction, and qualification processes, project delivery models, and contract structures.
Applying project management best practices, you follow a stage-gate process to develop sound project scope, schedule, budget, and execution plans. Front-End-Loading ensures projects are well planned and executed to achieve desired outcomes. You are organized and establish processes and structures to manage design, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, and handover activities. You form and develop an effective, high-performing team. You train, coach, and mentor engineers and support staff.
The project director ensures a 'fit-for-use' and 'right-first-time' quality approach. You are an excellent communicator and ensure alignment across the team and key stakeholders. The project manager gives full transparency on status of projects with respect to budget, schedule, scope and risks. You foresee and actively identify, mitigate, and manage project risk and act with urgency to resolve issues when they arise.
The projects require collaboration with other operations and commercial workstreams to achieve the overall business objectives. Interprets critical business issues and develops innovative solutions that help to sustain competitive advantage.
You are a thought leader and help to develop and improve processes, tools, contribute to continuous improvement, and sharing of best practices among your peers and other parts of the organization.

Pay Range for this position : $153,600-230,400
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
