Responsibilities Position is in the ICU float pool of an acute care hospital May be required to float to similar units or affiliate hospitals within the state Patient ratio is 1 : 2 Uses Epic for charting Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 30 Weekend shifts required, likely exceeding every other weekend Must be willing to work holiday shifts No on-call responsibilities All ICU RNs are expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed Royal blue scrubs required for nursing staff Must commit to working at least 3 out of 5 key holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Time off requests must be included at time of application and are subject to approval Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers and must reside outside a 50-mile radius Free parking available on site Mandatory completion of onboarding modules prior to start First-time travelers are eligible for this assignment Requirements Active CA RN license in hand; no temporary licenses accepted Minimum 1 year of ICU RN experience required First-time travelers accepted Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NIHS Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Experience charting in Epic required Must provide 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627063.
