Job Summary
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Surgery team in San Antonio, TX . This is a clinic-based position with no OR, inpatient, evening, weekend, or call duties . The provider will work independently in the outpatient clinic, primarily seeing post-operative and follow-up patients while collaborating closely with the supervising orthopedic surgeon.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations and follow-up visits
- Manage chronic musculoskeletal conditions and acute orthopedic injuries in an outpatient setting
- Order, interpret, and review imaging and diagnostic studies
- Provide injections, splinting, and other minor in-office procedures as appropriate
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and rehabilitation goals
- Collaborate with the orthopedic surgeon and care team to ensure seamless patient management
- See patients independently while the surgeon is in the OR
Qualifications
Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantNational certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)Previous orthopedic experience preferredStrong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skillsAbility to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, team-based approachSchedule & Compensation
