About the Role

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Video and Audio Systems Engineer to ensure flawless live broadcasts at launch and test sites. You will research, develop, and deploy broadcast-quality video and audio solutions, collaborating with various teams to share milestones with the public and inspire future generations.

Responsibilities

Design and develop advanced video systems, including cameras, microphones, transmission, recording, and playback systems.
Lead integration of video, audio, telemetry, and routing systems with existing facilities and launch systems.
Conduct testing and validation for high reliability and availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex video system issues, providing support to the production team.
Design and fabricate housings and mounts for operating environments.
Operate as the Engineer in Charge for Broadcast during launch events.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Stay updated with industry trends and recommend upgrades.
Create documentation for broadcast systems.
Mentor and guide other engineers to foster innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

Expertise in broadcast video systems.

Knowledge of video, audio, and routing systems.

Experience with IP-based video systems (SRT, RTSP, NDI, etc.).

Networking protocols knowledge.

Experience in live broadcast environments.

Strong troubleshooting skills.

Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adhere to operational protocols.

Passion for space exploration and Blue Origin's mission.

Additional Details

Relocation provided.

Travel up to 50%.

Physical work involving climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working at heights.
