Responsibilities Position is in a hospital Med / Surg inpatient overflow unit Care provided to a variety of adult medical and surgical patients Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, three days per week Epic EMR is used and prior Epic experience is required Serving a Level 1 Trauma setting Responsibilities include patient assessments, developing and updating care plans, administering medications, and ongoing documentation Expected to maintain a strong patient safety focus, including adherence to all safety and infection prevention protocols Participation in bedside shift reporting and effective interdisciplinary communication is required Delegation of tasks to assistive personnel and validation of completion throughout the shift is expected No travel partners are accepted for this contract RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than one year without a six-month break before returning Requirements Active Illinois RN license, temporary license accepted Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Minimum one year of relevant Med / Surg nursing experience required Documented experience in a Level 1 Trauma environment required Epic charting experience required ASN required, BSN preferred Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-611674.
