Job Summary :

The person will be assembling diesel engine test and prototypehardware along with running tests on that hardware in our engineering lab. Thisrole does not require any degrees, but any certificates or degrees are a plus.The manager is looking for a candidate with at least two years of experiencewith automotive and diesel truck engines.

Key Responsibilities :

• Modify, test, and repair machinery and equipment as directed by engineering staff.
• Prepare part sketches and create work orders and purchase requests for fabrication by outside contractors.
• Draft detailed drawings or sketches for drafting room completion or in-house fabrication.
• Review project instructions, blueprints, and specifications to determine test parameters and procedures.
• Identify and resolve technical problems such as redesigns and assembly challenges.
• Discuss and coordinate design changes, manufacturing methods, and drafting techniques with engineering staff.
• Inspect drawings for clarity and accuracy, ensuring corrections are made as needed.
• Evaluate tool and part designs by comparing drawing dimensions with specifications for form and function.

Required Skills :

Mechanical assembly skills with both small and largerparts and components using hand tools.

Education :

Associate degree in Engineering Technology or a related field preferred.

Equivalent work experience will be considered.
