Job Title : Shipping Coordinator / Clerk Location : York, PA Type : Direct Hire Contractor Work Model : Onsite Hours : Mon-Fri 7 : 30am-4pm Position Summary : This non-exempt position is responsible for the shipping of all spare parts, sample products, and for receiving parts, unloading trucks, and maintaining files in the stockroom. It is also responsible for delivering parts and the safe movement of parts and raw materials through various departments on the shop floor. Essential Responsibilities and Priorities :
- Pick, pack, and prepare all spare parts and customer sample products, rejections, and RMA’s, for shipment as well as prepare and ship office documents.
- Utilize UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, and DHL Easy Ship shipping software.
- Demonstrate a familiarity with international shipping regulations such as : Appropriate use of Certificates of Origin, USMCA (U.S., Mexico, and Canada Agreement), ISPM-15, and Shippers Letter of Instruction, etc.
- Learn and utilize the TOTALogistix (TLX) TMS portal for LTL, dedicated, expedited, and international air freight shipments.
- Compare rates for all LTL and air shipments with at least two carriers. Prepare all LTL or express freight bills and customer labels for LTL shipments
- Prepare all invoices and international documents for any shipments that are not created on a sales order, or require documentation for a specific country's regulations.
- Prepare all shipping orders that the requisitioner has not provided with the shipment.
- Post or issue all inventory parts shipments. Maintain inventory levels of packing materials. Maintain accurate pack list files.
- Ability to safely load and unload heavy machinery or willingness to learn.
- File and forward all required shipping documents to accounting.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety rules.
- Work interdepartmentally with the Spare Parts team and other internal customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist in all other Warehouse functions when needed to include but not limited to : Receiving Unloading trucks Part put away Pick and issue Cycle counting Job Qualifications include : Education
- High school diploma or equivalent Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in shipping required.
- Experience in international shipping highly preferred.
- Experience in Visual ERP system. General ERP and WMS experience acceptable.
- Experience with UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, and DHL Plus, desirable.
- Certified to prepare and ship dangerous goods desirable.
- Experience in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Experience with handling loading and unloading of heavy machinery preferred. Essential skills, behaviors :
- Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift certification on sit down, high reach and scissor lift.
