This medical center is a Level II Trauma Center and a DNV Comprehensive Stroke Center providing advanced neurological and trauma care to the region. The facility features an 8-bed department and serves as a critical healthcare provider for the Palm Springs community and surrounding areas.

Job Details :

• Provide neurosurgery trauma call coverage with 12-hour shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a)
• Perform various neurosurgical procedures including Laminectomy, Anterior Cervical Discectomy, Spinal Fusion, Brain Tumors, and ACDF
• Handle general neurosurgery cases for adult, pediatric, and neonate patients
• Manage cerebrovascular procedures including open and endovascular techniques
• Perform carotid or vertebral artery surgery and aneurysm clipping
• Address various tumor cases including neuroendocrine surgery
• Conduct stereotactic radiosurgery, functional procedures, and seizure management
• Perform VP shunt procedures and skull base surgery
• Provide spinal surgery with and without instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
• Handle peripheral nerve surgery and pain procedures
• Perform endovascular procedures and placement of ICP monitors
• Apply external traction when needed
• Manage ventilation and central line placement
• Must have a valid California Medical License with DEA address in California
• Require 10 years of clean malpractice history (no open or paid claims)
• COVID vaccination and booster required
• BLS certification required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30-60 days
