Position Summary :

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that the cleaning and uptake of the assigned building is consistently and appropriately performed.

Duties :

• Provide kind and compassionate care to our residents
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors
• Move materials and furniture as required
• Report building malfunctions as instructed
• Remove ice and snow and de-ice areas
• Cut grass and water plants
• sweep and wash with hose exterior sidewalk, steps and courtyard
• Operate any / all motor-cleaning equipment to strip and wax floors
• Will be responsible for the safekeeping, minor repairs, and preservation of all janitorial materials and equipment
• Laundering of resident's personal laundry, towels, and bed liners
• Thoroughly cleans all assigned resident apartments as assigned

Qualifications :

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel, and the general public
• Must have the physical stamina to perform assigned duties; must be able to lift up to 100lbs
