The Sr BI Specialist is a high-performing contributor who provides support in the delivery of global BI solutions within a Global IT Center of Excellence (COE) team. This role collaborates with other IT colleagues to help facilitate systems integrations and transitions and works hands-on with data warehousing / BI technologies like SAP BusinessObjects suite, HANA, Tableau, PowerBI, and SSAS.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position :

  • Work with Global IT COE colleagues and project sponsors / customers to successfully implement Business Intelligence Analytics applications for the business.
  • Participate in major applications integration projects, including but not limited to designs, codes, tests, and installs, and supports complex integrated application systems.
  • Guide the customization, implementation, and support of purchased package applications.
  • Make standard processes and business decisions based on understanding of company and customer as well as industry practices, standards, and trends.
  • Interact with customers, BI Specialists, and vendors to quantify system requirements and coordinate system integration testing, migration and roll-out; identify, evaluate, and recommend alternative technical solutions for best fit to business; oversee the initial pilot and recommends guidelines and standards for use.
  • Integrate data from various sources to create comprehensive and cohesive datasets for analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the availability and accuracy of data.
  • Analyze and provide technical advice and direction regarding the interface / integration of supported systems with the rest of the application portfolio; analyze how the supported applications can best serve business functions; recognize the impact to the business of proposed application changes and advise IT colleagues accordingly.
  • Perform high-quality analysis reliably and consistently.
  • Find ways to assess and apply innovative ideas to enhance business results.
  • Successfully lead after-action reviews to identify, document, and share lessons learned.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and / or experience.
  • 4-6 years relevant experience or equivalent education and / or experience.
  • Experience in data modeling (Star schema and 3rd Normal form) and hands-on experience in ERWin and other modeling tools.
  • Experience with integration of SAP BOBJ and SAP BW.
  • Experience implementing SAP BOBJ and Tableau on HANA.
  • Experience with Microsofts BI Stack, SSAS, and PowerBI.
  • Experience with EDW development life cycle from business requirement gathering to end solution.
