Tax & Estate Planning Attorney
We are seeking a highly capable, motivated associate attorney to work on foundational estate planning and advanced estate and tax planning matters.
Responsibilities and duties include :
- Work on advanced estate and income tax planning matters
- Highly customized drafting of foundational and advanced estate planning documents
- Meet with and advise clients on the proper design and structure of revocable living trusts and irrevocable gift trusts
- Research estate planning and other tax issues
- Evaluate and coordinate / update template documents, letters, procedures
Requirements :
J.D. from an accredited law school; a member in good standing of the California BarMinimum of 3 years of estate planning experienceStrong drafting skills and attention to detailStrong knowledge of estate and gift taxAn LL.M. degree in taxation or estate planning or a strong background in tax law is preferredBroad knowledge of corporate matters affecting closely held companies is helpfulAbility to interact comfortably with clients and management; interpersonal skillsAbility and flexibility to adapt and multi-task in a fast-paced environment; respond to client demandsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamCommitment to professionalism; flexibility as to the types of projects assignedPhysical Requirements :
Ability to lift and carry 30 poundsFrequent standing and walkingSitting for up to four hours at a timeBending and stooping as neededSalary :
$180,000 - $235,000 (dependent on experience, qualifications and billing rates)
