We are looking for a dedicated Purchasing Agent to join our team in Brockport, New York. In this position, you will play a critical role in managing procurement activities to ensure the timely acquisition of materials, supplies, and equipment. This role requires strong communication skills and attention to detail to maintain vendor relationships and support organizational needs.

Responsibilities :

  • Review and process purchase requisitions to create accurate purchase orders.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors to gather pricing, confirm product availability, and determine delivery schedules.
  • Monitor order progress, address delivery delays, and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Maintain detailed purchasing records and ensure inventory systems are up to date.
  • Assist in assessing supplier performance and contribute to building strong vendor partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement requirements and prioritize purchasing tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with established procurement policies and procedures.
  • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
  • Familiarity with creating and managing purchase orders.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with vendors and internal teams.
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate records and managing data.
  • Ability to analyze supplier performance and recommend improvements.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
