Title : CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant

Location : Canton, OH

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Job Summary :

Seeking a skilled and experienced CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Canton, Ohio. The position involves assisting in cardiovascular surgical procedures, providing operative support, and ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist surgeons in all phases of cardiovascular surgical procedures, including vein harvesting and graft preparation.
  • Maintain a sterile field and ensure all surgical instruments and materials are properly handled.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to optimize surgical workflow.
  • Monitor patient status during surgery and provide technical assistance throughout the procedure.
  • Support OR operations by preparing the operating room and assisting in post-operative care as needed.
  • Float to the Main OR if no CVOR cases are scheduled.

    • Requirements :

  • Minimum 18 months of recent CVOR experience (permanent prior to travel).
  • Experience with vein harvesting required.
  • Active NBSTSA Certification required.
  • AHA BLS Certification required.
  • Must hold an active Ohio state license (compact licenses accepted for starts after 01 / 01 / 23).
